YAESU FT-950 ??

I have been doing a good amount of reading on the FT-950 in preparation for an addition to my Station. What I'm not clear on... is if you choose the DMU-2000 does one have to purchase specific keyboard and monitor to work in conjunction with with DMU? I have found plenty of we-do-this... we-do-that but cannot find any poop on the accessories or if standard equipment can be integrated to the DMU.

Hiya Don

Although there are Yaesu add-ons available, there is nothing special about them at all.

The 'Yaesu' keyboard, although fairly compact, is just a standard PS2 keyboard without a numeric keypad section (in matt black).

The monitor is the same, just an off the shelf job.

When we have DMUs traded in at our store I just use my keyboard and monitor from my PC to test them, so again proof that they are just standard items.

In fact, one enterprising retailer in the UK used to supply a 'special compact miniature' monitor for the DMU, which upon examination was just a cheap CCTV monitor!
