Weird Morse code produced by PC system.

Hello all! I'm new to the forums and am here to see if I can get at least something out of this bizarre phenomenon that had occur on my PC one day.

I made an account just to see what others thought on the forums here. What made me think of Morse Code is due to the lengths of the bleeps and the general tone of the bleeps. It's also something I have never heard Windows make before.

This occurred at 10PM on the 10th-9-2015. It's an old video, yes, but I really didn't think much of it, even tried to decode it myself, but idk if I even did it correctly. But, now, looking back at my videos, id like to know more about this from people that might be able to catch the code better than me.

I have shown this video to my computer-savvy friends and they too have no idea what is producing the sound over software. Which made me categorize this as generally just bizarre and a phenomenon.

This recording was the only time it has ever happen.

If it's just nothing, then that's cool I guess.

Hiya! (And welcome to the forum) ^-^

First off, those bleeps are not Morse Code, though I can see how you might have thought so. Having ruled out Morse, I asked my game/tech savvy daughter to cast an eye over your video, and here's her reply:-
My best guess is that the beeps were possibly caused by a rare bug with FRAPS (which can cause similar noises), alt-tabbing out of the game you were playing (again, this can very rarely cause a series of beeps), or it could have simply been your motherboard/PC being overwhelmed with the amount of different tasks it was being asked to do, leading to issues with memory and such - the beeps may have been your computer's way of saying "oh god, please stop, I'm dying"  ^-^
Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply, sorry for the delay!

Id agree with this, but, the reason i opened fraps back then was to record the occurrence. I do see the counter only changing when the bleeps occur, but fraps usually only refreshes its FPS counter when a frame is used in most cases. refresh rates.

I have tried the alt-tab situation to try and recreate this as i did hear bleeps in game (but much much fewer); the game seen in the sound bar. When i alt-tabbed out of game to find if another program was running, there was not, but i was met with the numerous bleeps heard in the video.

At that time, i was running an APU+GPU combo, as the APU+GPU combo is kind of unstable back then. And Recording software is just rough as ever. it could easily just be that the mobo was trying to give a heat warning maybe. idk.

Thanks for the ideas and the reply to the situation!
