QRP

Well, not portable...I have a EF up 15 feet at home.  Today I was looking at my QCX mini 20m and noticed it looked lonely.  So I hooked it up and had no problem working a few stations.  That thing works great.  I like it better than the MTR3b on 20m mainly because of the volume control and the fact that it just works great.  Switched back to the KX2 and worked AZ with 4 watts.  Sure do love QRP.

I must hang my head in shame as I still have not got my QCX mini built. ☹️

The lack of volume control on the MTR-3b surprised me when I got mine. I would have thought it was a must-have control on any radio set really.

My 'best DX' with QRP on 20m was to work a guy in New York. I was using 3W in to a loaded dipole in the attic. The rig was a TenTec 1320 (I still have it).

73, Mark...
