It will shortly be available via Amazon UK at an RRP of ?17.99. However I would recommend that you wait a week or so before ordering as the version currently being sold via Amazon USA and 3rd-party sites will be replaced with an updated version. There was an issue with faded text which has now been rectified. Although it is being advertised on Amazon UK, the price quoted is for an import copy.

With over 500 pages, the book recounts the history of the VHF/MF maritime service in the UK from its beginnings from the Marconi and Lloyds stations in the early 1900s, right through to closedown in 2000. Each of the stations has a chapter devoted to them, together with recently-found photographs and memories. An overall history of the service accompanies the station sections, and numerous appendices can be used to trace the development of the service from its early days, via WW2 to the 1990s.

A limited number of signed copies will be available shortly, details of how to order will be promulgated when my own stock arrives.

The earlier Portishead book had a nice appendix about the keys used at the Portishead maritime radio station.
