Under it FT7800 used mainly for fone. Top left, the fixed mounted mic, Sony F710. Right, upper, the dark box with two leds is a mic preamplifier, includes a 300~3000Hz filter to attenuate room echoes, as no hand mics used. I dislike them turning in the table.
Under it, a home made packet modem arround the AM7910 chip. Under it, FT2400 for packet @1200, now not used because no packet BBS or PMS are listened nowadays. The PSU includes a small SMPS around L4971 chip that is enabled directly from the 5V present at mic jack of FT2400, so both units, FT2400 and modem are powered simultaneously, no need for independent power switches.
Bottom, FT767. Very little use. HF bands here are very noisier and from factory, FT767 is noticeably less sensitive as older rigs, the Collins S51 for example.
All 12V sets are powered from silar cells, already described elsewhere in this forum too.
There also are two Sony speakers from the walkman era, for mor comfortable listening during long QSO's. One for FT7800, the other for FT767. I dislike CW and no keys at all.
