Larsen Kulglass Antenna Help

Greetings. I recently removed two Larsen Kulglass Antennas from my truck and had trouble removing them. I now have a bucket
full of antenna parts and no way of identifying which parts go with what other parts. The inside caps came off from the
circuit boards and the external parts were somewhat damaged. The Larsen instructions were followed for removal but did not
work well. The adhesive worked very well!!!!

The antennas I'm working with are the 2m/70 cm dual bander and the 220 single band antennas. Looking at the outside parts,
one has a coil of about 16 ga. wire about 5/8" dia and about 3/4 " long; the other has a circular circuit pattern on a flat
board. The inside parts have two contacts, one for center conductor and one for the shield. One has full-with contacts and
the other has contacts about 2/3rds the length.

Any help in reassembling these antennas would be greatly appreciated. A query to Larsen has been unanswered.

Thanks & 73, Rich

Hiya Rich

I wish I could help more. I had a good look around the web for info on the antennas you have, but to no avail.

Do you think that they may be beyond repair?

If it was me I think I would dig out an antenna analyzer and have a play around with the various bits until I got a match. At least if you can get one working then you know for sure that the bits left over are for the other antenna.

If not an antenna analyzer then maybe you could use a GDO or similar, or even use you transceiver with a good ol' SWR meter.

If they are just a bucket of bits it might be time to lay out a few dollars and buy some new ones, maybe even a single triband antenna.

I'll keep on looking for info...
