Visiting my dad and brought my KX2 and new AX1 antenna.  I set it up on the dining room table and hooked the antenna to the rig.  This is a colapsable whip that plugs right to the radio.  So far this morning I have made 7 contacts at 4 watts.  Arizona, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Ohio and Connecticut.  I am simply amazed.  All on 20 and 17m. Feels like some old school spy stuff hunched over a rig inside tapping out code.

I've been watching your log book entries on QRZ.com, all pretty impressive stuff for such a 'minimal' station. bd

I have a feeling that operator skill plays a good part in the 'luck' you are having though. ;D

Inspirational stuff!
