Homebrew paddle

Hello all: I am a new member and have been pounding brass for 35 years. My Call is VE4AKI. I collect keys as well as fabricate my own. I would like to share my latest creation. It is a single lever paddle made from plastic. I will try to include a photo. Thanks for looking----Tom

Hiya Tom!

Is this a paddle to use portable? Looking at the scale of it I doubt it would take up much room in a 'radio go-bag'.

Is the arm of the key steel, or maybe painted double sided PCB etc.

I quite like the white colour bd

Hi Mark: the paddle was made for portable operation but works fine in the home station as well. The plastic was salvaged from a slatted window blind which provided material for many projects. The arm is made from painted pc board material as you suspect. I have made other paddles using pc board for the arm. The paddle I use at the home station was the first one I made [ about 20 years ago ] and still works fb. Thanks for
