I made this key a while back and it cost nothing as I have a well stocked junkbox.

The key also has has an adjustable gap.

I like it! A design along those lines would make a good kit.

Is the arm of the key double sided PCB material or something similar?

Another thought also, do you have a plan or dimensions for the key? I quite fancy making one, or something very similar.

Hi Mark:  I do not have any plans for the key but I can give you some dimensions. The base is 3.75"x 2"x.44". The lever is made from double sided pc board and is 2.44" knob to pivot. It measures 1.25" pivot to contact and the skirt is 1.5" in diameter. The contact uses a brass nut soldered to the pc board and a pan head self tapping screw is used for the lower contact.
