Hello to all my fellow hams. I'm new both to this site and ham radio. Although I've been interested in getting my ticket ever since I was a teenager, it took me forty years before I actually did it. I'm a Technician now but I'm studying to upgrade to General and expect to take the test within the next few weeks. In the mean time, I'm working mostly 2 meters. If you're ever in the San Diego area, give me a call on the Otay Mountain repeater: 146.640MHz, -600KHz duplex, PL 107.2.

Update: December 15, 2009.

Took me a little longer than expected but I've got my General now. HF, here I come!

Hiya, and welcome to the forum! :giggle:

It's never to late to obtain a ham ticket. I don't think my 10 watts on the two metre band will quite reach 'over the pond' from the UK hi hi :p

I always think that the more anyone learns about the hobby, the more interesting it becomes, and more rewarding too.

p.s. don't forget to tell us what your name is!

Best 73, Mark.
