Hi to all on the forum.Have just joined and looking forward to meeting like-minded members on this interesting site.My name is Peter and have been a licenced ham since being a teenager.Originally from Canterbury in the UK, am now living in Brussels and back on the air after a long break and enjoying every minute of it.

I was just having a look at your QRZ entry, and I can honestly say I agree/echo all of it, especially the phrase:

...the fading which enhances the imagination as one fills in the gaps when someone's signal falls below the threshold of audibility...

Normally my imagination has to fill in the gaps when the propagation changes just as the other station is telling me their name, QTH, and every other piece of useful info!

"RRR = NAME HERE IS *FADE* ES QTH IS *FADE* = RIG HERE IS *FADE* WID *FADE* ANT = SO HW CPI?"
