Elecrical storms!

Just sitting here listening to the enormous crashes of thunder locally, and watching the amazing 'light show' above.

Also had a massive shower of rain, possibly many inches fell in just a few minutes. :o

My five Watts of QRP seem ever so insignificant at the moment!

I know this was days ago, but I hope you had disconnected your antenna from your rig if you have a permanently mounted one. The raw power of nature never ceases to amaze me.

The antenna hasn't been connected to a rig for some months now. Also, it's tucked away inside a plastic 'radome' just above ground level. There are plenty of trees that are more likely to 'take a lick' before my antenna.
