Interested in Ham Radio for a long time but US NAVY time on submarines, 12 plus years, was not conducive to building a station. Followed by family and a rotating shift worker at a power plant. Finally licensed as a Tech, then General. Working on Extra. We have now settled in the Rio Grande Valley which will be our permanent home.

Hi Bill and welcome to the forum!

I was having a look at your QRZ page. It mentions you like touring in an MCI bus conversion. Did you make the conversion yourself or was it acquired pre-converted?

I noticed as well you mention APRS operation from the bus. Does this mean you are only using VHF/UHF while touring, or do you get some HF operating time in too?

Primarily 2m on the road. Bus was converted by us. First was a GM PD4108. Then MCI 102A3.
Making our permanent home in the Rio Grande Valley.
